Rollout of #MediLog v3.3.2 has started, first version which is available on #GooglePlay.
If you know of someone who could benefit from MediLog but won't bother switching to one of the FOSS appstores (#FDroid and #IzzyOnDroid), send them there: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zell_mbc.medilog.play&hl=en
For the people here, who are likely to use FOSS already, get it from…
* Me (via e.g. Obtanium): Codeberg: https://codeberg.org/toz/MediLog/releases
* IzziOnDroid: https://apt.izzysoft.de/fdroid/index/apk/com.zell_mbc.medilog
* F-Droid: https://f-droid.org/packages/com.zell_mbc.medilog/ (It may take a couple of days before this version becomes available)

Supporting GooglePlay led to a lot more code refactoring than anticipated, and I am not done yet. Bad thing is, more new code which needs testing…good things are, that along the way I sorted out the migration to the successor of sqlcipher. This buys me time to think about a proper migration strategy or whether I default to encrypted databases again.Tooted on Wednesday, 09 July 2025 10:31

@peterbreitfuss hm, da gibt's eigentlich keinen offensichtlichen Grund dafür? Ich schaue mir das mal an.Tooted on Sunday, 06 July 2025 13:21

Starting with #MediLog v3.3.0 I enabled app minification. Good thing is that it reduces apk size from 40MB to 19MB, bad thing is that this may introduce unpredictable crashes which I need to iron out one by one. There's a new v3.0.1Beta build which fixes a crash in the App settings: https://cloud.zell-mbc.com/s/medilogDownload?dir=%2Ffoss%2FbetaTooted on Sunday, 06 July 2025 11:42

A "creative" developer published an app called #MediLog on GooglePlay 😠
A very different app because it's got trackers and ads, but also very similar as it's about capturing BloodPressure and Weight, even some of my language.
I'll send a takedown request to Google but don’t expect much. Be aware that there are two MediLogs in Google Play in case you recommend MediLog to people which are not using any of the #FOSS appstores like #FDroid or #IzzyOnDroid.Tooted on Friday, 04 July 2025 11:58
