Added a new feature in v3.3.4 which will automatically create a copy of the database Space permitting) whenever a new build is launched for the first time. This is meant as an additional safty net in case things go wrong during upgrades. This feature comes with the DebugMode level possibility to import/export the #MediLog db directly, without the detour via ZIP and CSV. Could become the default backup/restore approach going forward as it's a lot simpler.

Rollout of #MediLog v3.3.2 has started, first version which is available on #GooglePlay.
If you know of someone who could benefit from MediLog but won't bother switching to one of the FOSS appstores (#FDroid and #IzzyOnDroid), send them there: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zell_mbc.medilog.play&hl=en
For the people here, who are likely to use FOSS already, get it from…

Supporting GooglePlay led to a lot more code refactoring than anticipated, and I am not done yet. Bad thing is, more new code which needs testing…good things are, that along the way I sorted out the migration to the successor of sqlcipher. This buys me time to think about a proper migration strategy or whether I default to encrypted databases again.Tooted on Mercoledì, 09 Luglio 2025 10:31

@peterbreitfuss hm, da gibt's eigentlich keinen offensichtlichen Grund dafür? Ich schaue mir das mal an.Tooted on Domenica, 06 Luglio 2025 13:21
