Supporting GooglePlay led to a lot more code refactoring than anticipated, and I am not done yet. Bad thing is, more new code which needs testing…good things are, that along the way I sorted out the migration to the successor of sqlcipher. Starting with #MediLog v3.3.0 I enabled app minification. Good thing is that it reduces apk size from 40MB to 19MB, bad thing is that this may introduce unpredictable crashes which I need to iron out one by one. A "creative" developer published an app called #MediLog on GooglePlay 😠
A very different app because it's got trackers and ads, but also very similar as it's about capturing BloodPressure and Weight, even some of my language.
I'll send a takedown request to Google but don’t expect much. Be aware that there are two MediLogs in Google Play in case you recommend MediLog to people which are not using any of the #FOSS appstores like #FDroid or #IzzyOnDroid.Tooted on Venerdì, 04 Luglio 2025 11:58 -
